During a fight with an armed robbery suspect, T.C. is knocked out and his gun stolen. T.C. takes it hard, and things get worse when they find the thief…killed by a bullet from T.C.’s gun. The trail of the gun leads to several other crimes, and eventually falls into the hands of a sixteen year-old boy who’s being extorted by a group of kids on the boardwalk. Fearing further physical assaults, he’s refused to report his bullies to the Bike Patrol. This gun is a way to finally get rid of his tormentors…permanently.

Victor and Chris are approached by an eight year-old boy reporting his dog has been stolen. They don’t take the report very seriously, until a partial license plate number is traced to a kennel which supplies dogs to research labs.

As a practical joke, Cory signs Chris up with a video-dating service. Initially upset, Chris comes to view it as an excellent way to screen thousands of potential boyfriends without the hassle and disappointment of a full-blown first date.
